the wrong car

A true story about events in [counting on fingers] 1983.

I was with a small group in Carlisle, PA. We drove to a restaurant. We parked and got out. We ate. We returned to the car. We unlocked the car and got in. We noticed that the contents of the car were not the same as when we’d gotten out. We realized we were in the wrong car. We got out and re-locked the car. We returned to the correct car, nearby.

I don’t remember the model, but the manufacturer must’ve skimped on locks.
