6 October 2005 - customer farming

In the United States, customer service is traditionally
understood to mean serving the customer, medium rare, with
barbecue sauce, after a dessert of sweet promises.
Unfortunately, serving dessert before the main course has
created some difficulties, and companies today have begun
to rely on euphemisms rather than direct language. For
example, they say “customer care” rather than “customer
farming”.
