Start with “don’t let anyone tell you what to do.” But not everyone will understand the implications, so you need a followup, like “now listen to me.” If your listener is particularly slow and still trusts you, you can suggest that some people are causing problems, imply that you’re too polite to name names, and say “you can figure it out.” Because by then, they can.
