21 August 2019 - buy Greenland

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

Let’s see, if Trump wants to buy Greenland, how much should he offer? Alaska cost $7,200,000. That was in 1867, and inflation since then is supposed to be a factor of 17. Also, Greenland is 25% larger than Alaska, so 7.2 * 17 * 1.25 makes $153 million. Ha, Trump change! Right now property speculators are angling to snap it up so they can flip it for a huge profit.

clue:

The GDP of Greenland is $1,800,000,000 including an annual subsidy from Denmark worth over $500,000,000 so the fair price would be much, much higher. And, you know, the people who live there might perhaps like a say.

give me a clue so sweet and true
