The first step toward accountability is to get the facts. Body cameras are credited with some improvement in police accountability. So make the logical law: A police officer who makes an arrest, or who commits violence in the line of duty, must produce documentary evidence. It can be a crime otherwise, that’ll keep those cameras turned on.
