29 December 2023 - burning question

In the Daily Whale I answer not only the burning questions of the day, but those of up to 11 o'clock tomorrow morning. But in keeping with my tradition of breaking with tradition, this time I'll answer a question that won't catch fire for years yet. Will AI take over the world and make humanity miserable? The answer is: No! They won't need to make us miserable. But we might make ourselves miserable because we can't keep up.
