AITT bots

Submission is closed for the AI Tinycraft Tournament (AITT), for bots limited to 3000 bytes of source code. 3 of the tiny bots have appeared on SSCAIT. Will more follow? Naturally, very small bots play very simple strategies:

  • Oh Fish - zerg 4 pool
  • PotatoMasher - protoss zealot rush
  • PurpleWavelet - protoss zealot rush

Bruce on :

Unfortunately mine has hard-coded positions for the AITT map pool so it won't work on SSCAIT.

PotatoMasher actually has like 9 build orders, so we will see some variation from it :)

Hannes Bredberg on :

Actually, it's just 7 builds. They are probably not the most competitive builds, but I think everyone has one in there which they will like.

Yegers on :

Oh Fish should go 9pool with muta's if vs zerg, it will also switch to a mutabuild if it detects flying units from the enemy, I should probably also have added a hardcoded framecount, to switch to it eventually.

McRave on :

Yay tiny bots! There's 6 total right now, not all are on SSCAIT yet but maybe their authors will!

MicroDK on :

I guess we will see Purple's two other bots (Z and T) on SSCAIT? ;)

Dan on :

I'd be happy to, if people would like. The Zerg is a 4pool and the Terran is a Marine+SCV all-in. They're forks of each other. The Protoss is probably the strongest and exhibits the most interesting behavior (per-unit fight/flight decisions + retreating dying Zealots) so I uploaded that one.

Dilyan on :

Compared to WillyT is it better in the rush with scvs?

Dan on :

Hard to compare. PurpleEssence's rush comes very early. It's an in-base BBS with a pull at 15 supply.

MicroDK on :

Well we dont need another 4pool but a marine+scv all-in could be fun.
