People tend to assume that things are simpler than they turn out to be. Ever
since the Industrial Revolution, it has been obvious to many people that
factory machines replace workers, and therefore cause unemployment. But
society hasn’t collapsed; a little more perspective shows that the long-term
effect of automation is to create wealth.
Occam’s Razor has no handle.
