Alexander Pope Examines the RIP Bill

Swift as a chimney swallowing a barn,
We swallow down the governmental yarn:

The British Regulation of Investigatory Powers Bill is a proposed law that would give the UK government more power to intercept communications. For example, ISP’s would be required to install surveillance equipment. The bill has come in for heavy criticism.

The chimney swift and the barn swallow are birds that catch insects on the wing.
