The Battle for the Happy Medium

Remember the state of war between Fiji and Syria? I notice that Mexico is exactly halfway between them.

An opposition candidate, Vicente Fox, won the presidential election in Mexico, breaking over seventy years of rule by the Intitutional Revolutionary Party. Of course, we all knew that the PRI had to lose eventually—its name is self-contradictory.
