Have you noticed the epidemic of epidemiology? They seem to know the incidence of everything—cases per thousand per millisecond; internet popinjays, among; chronic brain rot, of. But the numbers don’t always add up to knowledge. In fact, the difference between epidemiologists and epistemologists is that epistemologists know when they don’t know whether they know.
