In the 1980’s, we programmers calculated the exponential growth of the Internet and understood that one day it would be ubiquitous. “Wow, when that happens there’s going to be more junk e-mail than you can imagine!” we told each other. Then we laughed and got back to work.
George W. Bush has the same attitude toward weapons of mass destruction, except that he forgets the part about laughing and getting back to work.
