I think I finally have it all worked out. The contents of the universe can be classified as stuff (chairs), non-stuff (standing waves), other (Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle), miscellaneous (committee minutes), other miscellaneous (committee seconds), exceptions (income tax), oddments (Holy Grail), and things nobody has figured out (this list).
