You will be assimilated. E.F. Schumacher’s small world is economically unrealistic (you can tell, because he was an economist), thus resistance is futile. But don’t worry. Even after the world culture has conquered all, and the old national languages have devolved into dialects of English or Mandarin, that which is truly valuable from the old will be retained. We will still argue between Tex-Mex and New Mex-Mex.

Americans sometimes call Mexican food “Mex-Mex” to distinguish it from the southwestern American blended cuisine. That’s funny.
