I believe the reason that time machines aren’t seen is that,
every time one is invented, it gets caught up in a tight time
loop and doesn’t affect the rest of the world. Each inventor
ends up doing something silly like becoming their own father
or mother—not an appealing thought for most of us, but
anything is possible with inbreeding.
