Is that k supposed to be a wavenumber, or thermal conductivity, or is it Boltzmann’s Constant? Or does it just mean a thousand? If we switched physics over to Chinese characters, there’d be enough symbols for every purpose, and as a side benefit we could really put the older generation in its place.
