It’s possible to wash clothes because the cloth and the dirt have different properties. If they had identical properties, nothing you did could separate them. In fact, in that case, why would you want to separate them? I’m working on a plan to make clothes directly out of dirt, so that they’ll never need washing. Low cost, convenience—all I need is to make dirt superficially appealing with the right slogan, and I’m done. “All natural”?
