You can say “stone lion” and people accept it. Really! What do
you think a lion is? But if you say “cheese plover” they look
at you funny. What do they think cheese is? Plainly, something
has gone seriously awry with opinions of normality. That may
explain why Europe thinks it’s in a sudden crisis.

The European debt crisis is the result of policies that economists
have warned about all along.
