Political correctness is the key. Consider prejudice: The word literally means “pre-judging”, or making a decision before the facts are in. But there’s no escape from that. Time only moves forward; it’s physically impossible to delay decisions now until the facts are in later. The best you can do is avoid the cases other people object to... due to their prejudices.
