Imagine the furious electronic war that must thunder behind the headlines in Ukraine. The Great Russian Underground crashes through the networks, directing the Real Big Nogoodniks to their prey, while the locals can only stare at the ashes of their firewalls. But what is that slithering? Is Nameless State Adversary watching everything from the undergrowth?

Great Russian Underground is for the GRU, Russia’s large military intelligence agency. The Real Big Nogoodniks are the Russian Business Network, a major internet crime organization which is at least tolerated by the government, and possibly cultivated.
