Metropolis Monopolist

Cities are economically good due to economies of scale and network effects. When I become King of the World, I will improve efficiency with a simple reform: Coalesce all cities into one. The few who work scattered farms or mines can live apart, but 96% of the world’s population will be in the capital—it’s only natural under a strong central government. And as for becoming King of the World, I think I’ll start by accepting contributions from those who may have preferred locations.

clue:

See the Seoul metropolitan area, where half of South Koreans live. The city owes much of its size to being the capital of a strong central government.

give me a clue so sweet and true
