Remember when Trump canceled the summit with North Korea? It was the right move; it said “No, we don’t want this more than you, so you can’t push us around. You’re the one who wants it.” Soon the summit was on again. He does have some negotiating skill; the problem is that he doesn’t know what to negotiate for. He’s off to Singapore to seek “complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization.” How can an organization lose a learnable skill irreversibly? Only by being dissolved.
