When you are born, like a seed hatching in the soil, you care only for yourself. Soon you break the shell of earth and begin to see your world. With time, your reach widens, and your vision, and your interest, and your caring, and continues and continues to widen while your branches fly above. One day, you are cut down and plucked like a butchered fir. The end.
