In domestic politics, Trump has both fists stuck to the tar baby. But in military actions our war president has wisely stayed away from it. He kept the scope limited. Until, that is, he became impressed with his own success in Venezuela and decided to run the country by force of threat, an open-ended process. He couldn’t keep his eyes off the shiny gold, even if it was black. Now he’s looking at Iran. And you know, if you do enough warlike things, eventually one of them will become a war you’re stuck to.
