In war, everything gets harder. Clausewitz said so. Who could have predicted that Iran would carry out the threat they've always made, of closing the Strait of Hormuz? Not the unready Pentagon, because (there being a war) it's hard to understand that the Houthis showed how easy it is. You don't need much military force, which is fine because that would be hard. Trump, who says that the war is completed and may continue indefinitely, will admit no mistake. He can't do that even in peacetime.
