SSCAIT 2019 underway

For anyone who hasn’t noticed yet, SSCAIT is underway and games are being played. 45 bots made it in after screening, which means 45 * 44 = 1980 games in the double round robin phase. So far, some bots have played up to 7 of their games, while some have yet to play any.

Since comments are coming in about it anyway, here’s a post to attach them to. MarcoDBAA suggests Simplicity-ZNZZBot as a fun game (and I agree).

By the way, I pronounce “ZNZZBot” as “Zanzibar”. It’s easier to say.

At time of writing StyxZ has a nice early lead, going 5-0 with wins against Locutus and Iron. Neither game used the 9-pool build either. Very strong showing thusfar!

What's going on with Mcrave? it's 0-9 losing to bots I wouldn't expect it to lose to, is there a bug that's causing it to crash every game?

Good question. I see jittery unit control, as if a bug had been introduced. But the version on BASIL seems to be playing as usual.

From what I've seen the uploaded version of McRave never attacks.

McRave had a debug bool to never attack turned on, will upload fixed version after tournament. From discord. :

Catching up on reading, yeah I think my local build was busted, I'll re-upload an old one after tournament for stream watchers

Nah I just forgot a stupid debug bool that forces only defending (when I was working on those fancy concaves I was talking about earlier)

Right, McRave is sadly fatally bugged. :( Looks like it cannot attack anymore, or something similar.

Protoss bots Bananabrain, Purplewave and Locutus at the top for now. Last 2 should be the favourites to win the tournament I think.
