ethicist - One who is more worried than curious about the consequences of experimentation; the opposite of a scientist. Ethicists did not help the world into the mess it’s in; they are still considering whether the obsidian spear point was a good idea. Ethicists are another proof, alongside the Office of Management and Budget, that too much thinking ahead is a mistake.
