Physics is part of what used to be called natural philosophy, which is now called folk science (the science you have when you have no science), which is understood by evolutionary ethologists (artificial naturalists) as an optimal adaptation of early humans (natural artificers) under protosociobionomic (the) constraints. In other words, Rousseau was right after all: Ignorance is best.
