rookie FBI agent: I don’t get why Adobe put us on to this Dmitry copyright-murderer and then changed their minds.
veteran: The press release doesn’t mention Adobe, therefore Adobe is is non-related to the at-hand situation.
rookie: Um. OK.
veteran: Anyway, they’re in a have-and-eat-too cake status. They play nice while we prosecute under DMCA.
rookie: I don’t get the DMCA either. Why does it only outlaw computer stuff? Shouldn’t photocopiers and VCRs be illegal too?
veteran: Ours is not to reason why, ours is to poke ’em in the eye.
