Lack of Progress Due To Differing Viewpoints

analyst: Failing to plan to fail is a major cause of failing to cope with failure. With that in mind, let’s launch our analysis of the French “no” vote on the European Constitution.
Normal: Isn’t it just the politicians running too far ahead of the people, like always in Europe?
Smart: Well, the Germans call it a “Verfassung,” holding things together, but the Romance languages mostly call it a “constitution,” what you’re made of. So of course the French take it more seriously.
Normal: Huh. What about other languages?
analyst: In Slovak, Slovenian, and Czech, it’s “Ustava”.
Weird: Like an old Nova, it used to go.
analyst: In Finnish it’s “perustuslaki”.
Weird: Is that closer to perestroika or to peristalsis? Either way, I don’t swallow it.
analyst: Um....
Smart: I think we’ve analyzed as much as we’re able to.
