The rich countries (“developed” means the same in nations
as in ideas, overcooked) fear that their comparative
advantage lies solely in jobs, which they are exporting
rapidly. Of course, the biggest movements are of jobs that
people hate, and the people who get them need them more.
Thus the world gradually grows wealthier, and in due time
everybody will hate these jobs. I think we’d better hurry
up and invent robots, so that complaints of lost jobs can
be equitably distributed.
