One idea is to require high schools to teach electronics, which might work if they can be made to teach it well. Bright 11-year-olds with Google can figure out on their own how to build useful gadgets using Raspberry Pi, so teachers can probably do it too with help. As knowledge slowly spreads that milliamps of electricity cannot demolish buildings, Hollywood will be forced to change its ways. There may be a transition period, though, when schools are evacuated daily due to flashing LEDs.
