Maybe in a democratic country it is more natural to bow to the lowest common denominator and declare electronics illegal. We’ll have to throw away our phones and watches, redesign our cars and most other devices, and generally return to the 1930s, but bombs would tick so we’d be safe. Of course we’d lose Silicon Valley, but we’ll lose it anyway if schools carry on like this.
