One end of the gun, from whose barrel power grows, works by physics, and it is swift and violent. The other end works by biology. It’s holding a gun so it’s violent too, but it’s not that swift—and it’s downright unpredictable. If we want a system that acts as it should, then there’s no choice but to automate the job from end to end so that it all works by the equations of physics. Of course indirect abuse of guns (by controlling the robot) is just as dangerous as holding the gun yourself. Isaac Asimov had it right, the robot revolution is the only way.
