Ising is a model
That is makeles.
Twyn of many thynges,
Frosting cakeles.

After the famous medieval lyric. “Makeles” means matchless, “make”-less.
The physics model Ising is pronounced like “icing” in English, and
like “easing” in its original German. In my conceit, it is the
frosting without the cake because it gets the right answer while
ignoring the details.
