Trump is not all bad. Forces of irredeemable evil are sadly misunderstood. You can’t become U.S. president without real political skill, and by his power of illusion he helped the economy: He was expected to be good for business, and so he increased business confidence, as was needed. Never mind that all the real effect was due to overspending and growing the debt, and that he reversed course after the pandemic came and stimulus became a good idea; evil does have its whims. The important thing is that self-fulfilling prophecy works.
