1 May 2021 - chaos

The ancient Greeks thought of chaos as the void or abyss before the universe was sorted into separate things with their causes and effects. Look up, or look inside any atom; the void is still there. Heraclitus, who understood quantum mechanics, saw chaos in the foundation of reality; today we call it the quantum vacuum, which seethes with random virtual particles. I wonder when we’ll get to the next phase of creation, with causes and effects?
