You can lie without lying: Tell the truth selectively (“fortified with essential nutrients that you already get enough of”), or say something irrelevant that sounds good (see non-denial). And you can lie straight up, Trump style; not many will care whether your fake news, or doctored audio, or mislabeled photos make sense. Computers can now create fakes nearly indistinguishable from real photos, and it is time to take a deep breath, steel yourself, and panic panic panic!
