In the 1970’s, U.S. corporations recognized the competition from Japan, and thought about working hard. In the 1980’s, they did work hard, and thought about getting organized. In the 1990’s, maybe they’ll get organized.

They’ve been thinking ahead the whole time, just not the way that counts.
