North Carolina’s 1st and 12th congressional districts have been redrawn to
have black majorities. This was required by court decisions based on the
Voting Rights Act as amended in 1982. The new districts have weird, irregular
borders.
Hey, why don’t they amend it for me, too? I need my own congressional district.
