Genius consists of skill and motivation. Bobby Fischer’s motivation comes from his anger at the world, which makes him aggressive, and his perfectionism, which makes him detail-crazy. In other words, the same factors that drove him to become a great chess player also drove him antisocial.

Genius is a cognitive-affective disorder.
