Lots of people who know what’s what are against Clipper. Clipper was designed
by the National Security Agency, which is more interested in finding out
others’ secrets than in keeping yours. These people figure that the
safeguards against warrantless tapping would eventually fail.
You mean that if the government continually abuses its power to keep secrets
then people lose trust? That’s not fair!
