29 June 1998 - TACDFIPSFKMI

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

The TACDFIPSFKMI worked for two years and failed to produce a FIPS, but at least they encrypted their name. We should let Vanna White know that the price of vowels has gone down.

clue:

TACDFIPSFKMI stands for Technical Advisory Committee to Develop a Federal Information Processing Standard for the Federal Key Management Infrastructure. It’s a U.S. Government committee that was asked to design an electronic secret code, the “Federal Information Processing Standard”, strong enough to protect banks from enemy governments and specially weakened to let the FBI catch crooks.

give me a clue so sweet and true
