French President Jacques Chirac will be traded to Philippine guerrillas in return for an undetermined number of hostages, announced the French government. “France is proud to take its place beside Libya at the forefront of the global drive against terrorism,” said Chirac. “Let none accuse me of hypocrisy in my concern for the lives of the hostages.”
