16 December 2000 - epidemiology
< yesterday --
Have you noticed the epidemic of epidemiology?
They seem to know the incidence of everything—cases per thousand
per millisecond; internet popinjays, among; chronic brain rot, of.
But the numbers don’t always add up to knowledge.
In fact, the difference between epidemiologists and epistemologists
is that epistemologists know when they don’t know whether they know.
This is, of course, mainly an excuse to use the word “popinjay”.
Popinjay! Popinjay! Poppin’ fresh popinjay!
give me a clue so sweet and true
