Dear end of the world,
I know times have been lean after the Cold War, no matter what Mr. Hawking says. People just don’t believe in you any more. But I believe in you, and you will always have my support. It’s important to look ahead, beyond this stage of preparatory maneuvering, through the step by step decisions which seem to make sense at the time, to the hoped-for final embrace, with Iran and Israel locked at each other’s throats. Maybe then we can shed a brilliant new light on this ragged old planet.
