9 August 2006 - beams

< yesterday -- tomorrow >

alien: Beaming has to do with the eyes? Not with German cars?
earthling: It’s just an expression. But I-beams do have strong support.
alien: And beams are cast out?
earthling: Maybe they’re extruded. But yeah, everything is cast away sooner or later, not only Robinson Crusoe. Even if you’re dressed to the nines, you can be cast out in case of division.
alien: What about the mote?
earthling: That’s more for casting into. It keeps ladders away to prevent scaling.
alien: Which fall from the eyes?
earthling: And do weights and measures. So mote it be.
alien: Zrkn to mothership. The indigenes have caught on. They are concealing their communication codes.
