Remember Continental Drift?

Did you ever notice how alike the shapes of Brazil and India are? Even the irregular protrusions to the north, west, and east look similar if you squint a little. Clearly the two were the same nation in prehistoric times; during the inflationary era, spontaneous symmetry-breaking left the countries very different. If only we could measure how fast the boot of Italy is kicking Sicily, we could calculate the time when the Earth was still flat.
