The theory of satire, the reason it gets legal protection around here, is that holding up the booboos for everybody to smell promotes good hygiene... at least in the long run. In practice I see three effects: There’s preaching to the choir or angering the victim, neither of which does any good, or there’s confusing the innocent, which is most people. And that’s great, I love helping people realize their confusion.
