The real world is a complicated place and only real world testing can find important problems, but other steps are critical too. If software is your beating heart, you need to do everything to avoid a software heart attack even if it means a leaner diet, and that was Knight Capital’s mistake. Shining Armor does not make that mistake, because our software is not our own beating heart, it’s yours. Our bugs allow criminals to steal only your money.
